TikTok has been in the trend already because of the entire ‘YouTube vs TikTok controversy’ and then the rating coming down drastically with the efforts of many! TikTok announced a new #LearnOnTikTok program!
It funds a range of educational videos in order to help facilitate learning during the COVID-19 lockdowns. Learning should never stop, no matter what the conditions are, and so TikTok step towards the educational videos is the best thing ever.
This is being supported through TikTok’s $50 Million creative learning fund, which is declared as a major part of its broader $250 Million commitment to help with the impacts of COVID-19.
They added that they have partnered with over 800 public figures, media publishers, educational institutions, and professional experts who have been affected by the global pandemic to bring learning or educational videos to TikTok. This is all an initiative to bring the learning and creativity on the plate during this time, where everyone is locked in.
The #LearnOnTikTok includes videos outlining exercise routines, sleep health tips, instructions on floral arrangements, and even lessons on aquatic life.
All of these lessons are provided by businesses that have affected by COVID-19, so the videos are both educational resources to help people at home, and also provide the professional outlook and also they can share their expert advice or learning.
Also, to our surprise, TikTok is also partnering with celebrities like Bill Nye, Lilly Singh, and Neil Degrasse Tyson! This is to provide more educational tips and also expand the reach of the #LearnOnTikTok campaign. This is an amazing way to encourage user-generated content.
It is also bringing a new ‘Creator Learning Portal’!
This portal is designed to provide insights, tools, and best practices on how to create quality creative content on TikTok.
TikTok is improving its internal processes, and also to establish a positive, engaging community. This update and this campaign is by far the most amazing thing! It facilitates more educational content and creates quality content.
How does it help?
- It encourages good quality content rather than the ones that are merely for fun. These videos will be educational and have something to learn.
- It gives brands or companies to come up with educational, or DIY to take benefit from this campaign.
- As the lockdown persisted for a long time, it is time to give the audience videos that they would love to watch and learn rather than wanting to go out or being depressed.

As different communities continue to be at home, communities on TikTok have all come together with this initiative. It offers levity, positivity, and a basic human connection.
