Social media is a crazy place! With memes, trolls, and many posts that just end up being a controversy on a larger scale, the social media platforms have become the hotspot for any information be it a joke or a judgment, everything does the rounds faster.
Owing to the COVID-19 pandemic and isolation with people browsing YouTube videos, Instagram memes, and other platforms with a vengeance to be the first to share the amazing content for a good laugh, these things are the real life-savers. And, when we thought that now no one can come up with memes or viral videos that could gain instant popularity, we got the best one to move our content around.
I am here with the hottest, trending, and what has become the epicenter for every meme maker from past few days -
TikTokers have been giving the replies! And, even YouTubers have, but the main video of Carry Minati was awaited. And, here it is, the reply was ‘Savage and Superb’!
Carry had a clear win!
Carry Minati Roasting the TikTokers!
Carry Minati made about 8.2M likes! Yes, it attracted millions of likes just after it was uploaded! He had received 2M likes in just 2 hours after the video was uploaded.
The internet went berserk with this roast! People are dividing themselves into units to support either of the platforms. But here it is - I don’t want you to choose the platform!
Whose Side Are We On?
Though I loved watching the reply of Carry Minati to TikTokers, and the stories of YouTubers like Harsh Beniwal, and Bhuvan Bam on it. But from the digital marketing view, I can see both of the platforms as an opportunity to advertise and bring traffic to the targeted plans. Right?
But, the main ingredient is required in both of the marketing - YouTube as well as TikTok, which is QUALITY.
Both of the platforms have their own benefits if you use it to upload quality content! Yes, the only thing that TikTok lacks is the quality of content, and it certainly doesn’t mean that the people who were putting thoughts to use it as a platform for digital marketing should step back.
This fight between the TikTok and YouTube has separated the fans of the respective applications!
And, it isn’t the first time, TikTok has faced a lot of criticism in the past too and it was all regarding its content. Memes and roasts related to it have surfaced before.
How did this fight begin?
It all began when an Indian YouTuber Elvish Yadav posted a video roasting the TikTokers on his channel. And, in response to that Indian TikTokers like Revolver Rani and Amir Siddiqui replied with their roast.
But, the video was deleted by Amir Siddiqui as he received a lot of backlashes. As it had already caught the eye of the YouTubers, Mr. Samrat and Elvis Yadav came back with a roast video around Amir's video.
Indian TikToker Awez Darbar also jumped into the conversation to neutralize things and hatred with a video showcasing that each platform/creator has its own pros and all should focus on creating rather than hating.
Well, very sweet of Awez, but this didn’t end anything!
Ajey Nagar aka Carry Minati roasted the TikTokers on 8th May.
The video as I have already mentioned above hit 2 million views within 2 hours of its upload and has become a buzzing talk in the online community since. It stirred a lot, people are posting memes around it.
Even the fellow YouTubers - Harsh Beniwal, Bhuvan Bam, and Ashish Chanchlani posted stories in support and even tweeted.
Coming to the point, it is all an educational corner. We have got to learn about both the platforms and what they hold for us in the digital marketing field.
