Google Switched its AD Label from Green to ‘Black’ for Mobile Search Results

Howdy guys! We are here to update you with the most recent change that happened in the display of Google Mobile Search Results. And the change was the change in the display style (most importantly color of the ad label) of paid ads and organic listings. 

Google had introduced its Green minimalistic ad label around 2 years back, after which it has now finally come up with the black “ad label”. You might think that this is a very unnoticeable change, but we would like to put some light on why this is a considerable change. Read our case study to know the reason behind this change.

So this black ad label and black display URL will be now displayed above the ad or paid listings. And in case of organic listings, a favicon can be added, which will be displayed right above the title. The name of the site will be displayed right next to that favicon, that too in black color. 

Also, to make it more minimalistic, Google has removed the line that used to be there under the Ad headlines, so as to make paid listings look less distinctive from organic ones.

Simply include a <link> tag in the header with correct syntax. So when Google crawls through your home page, it gets the update about your favicon.

These updates are no joke because according to Google, these design changes will also be helping users to find the required information easily, along with being able to try out new action buttons.
