4 Step Checklist for An Ultimate Infographic for Marketing

Infographic marketing success doesn’t happen overnight! And, not even after you have published it. It starts when you have a great idea, and also you have a great way to represent it in a way that is understandable by everyone. 

67% of marketers use the infographic for getting the required success!

And, this 67 % don’t just put up a ‘How to, or Why’ based infographics! They do it while following a systematic process. Infographics have been most widely used as prime content marketing strategies for the past few years, and it grabs people’s attention as no other marketing tricks do. 

But, unfortunately, as infographic has the hearts of all the marketers, it is important that the next time you are creating an infographic it is up-to-date and engaging. 

Keeping in mind that you have to increase brand awareness and generate more sales using infographics, let’s begin the 4 step checklist to create an ultimate infographic for marketing

01. Clever selection of topic:

The most important part! The part where it all decides whether your infographic will be a success or not. So, pay attention to whatever is said here. 

I have researched a lot and came up with these two ways in which you can set your heart upon one topic. 

  • Trending topics:

Search about what are the topics associated with your industry is trending and prepare notes about it. Creating infographics for the trending topics makes you a favorite for Google as well as for people who are searching for the same topic.

For finding the trending topic you can check out ‘Google Trends.’ You can learn about the trending topics for Infographics through -

“The key is to find what people are looking for!”

  • Learn about the searches made by users. It can be anything related to your industry, images, blogs, or videos. Note down these topics and make an infographic around it. 
  • After you have created the list of topics, now it is time to search for related topics and queries. 

It might seem difficult but you can surely come up with the best! And, create an infographic for your brand or your website. 

  • Reuse the old content:

Do you have a piece of content that always attracts a lot of traffic?

Or do you have a blog post that everyone loved?

Then, it is time to repurpose and reuse them as Infographics.

All the blogs, articles, video DIYs, roundups are great to extract topics and condense them in the form of infographics. This is the best way as it will take up less time, you can use your content properly instead of just dumping it, and also you are all aware of the topic. 

Use the facts, numbers, and instructions to make the infographic interesting. You can also reuse the images!

02. Keyword time:

Just like you would do to any other content on your website, be it website content or the blog content, you should also optimize your infographic for target keywords. This increases the chance of your infographic to be displayed in the relevant search results when someone searches for it. You can use online SEO tools to search for related keywords. 

Then, you can use the keywords with good search volume in the infographic content and attain the required rank for your website. 

03. Make it Shareable:

If it is not shareable, then it is not going anywhere. So, it is super-important that you make your infographic shareable.

Imagine you share an infographic on social media and it gets no share! This would be the biggest letdown, hence, post infographics that get you likes and shares. Make sure that it is shareable, allow visitors and the audience to share your posts with others whether they follow you or not. 

04. Branding time:

Yeah! I know it is purely wrong if you showcase just your products and service and not solutions or process to the selected topic. But, it is also important to add branding elements in your infographics. So, when people share it on their blog post or their social media pages, they can straightaway give you credit. 

For this, you have to add your business logo! This adds to improve brand recognition. Also, you can add your website link or contact information, and also call to action buttons to pave the way to the ones interested to connect to or your brand.
